I’m surprised to see Chauncey Billups go to the Hall of Fame. I respect his game, but he wasn’t a superstar. The HOF should be reserved for superstar talent and ability only.

Billups himself didn’t suggest he ever was a superstar. He said he should be elected based on how far he took his teams, which is absolute rubbish. There are many factors that go into winning and losing. That’s not relevant to the HOF. One’s ability is all that matters.

Often that ability happens to translate into winning. But winning isn’t directly relevant to HOF selection. At least it shouldn’t be.
