I wanted the Houston Rockets to draft Tim Hardaway Jr. because I valued the advantage he had coming into the league being the son of the Miami Heat legend Tim Hardaway. At the time, that wasn’t an obvious choice to everyone because we have seen plenty of sons of successful fathers not be good NBA players. Hardway Jr. has not disappeared though. He’s routinely overlooked as the son of a legend. His stats show that he is one of the best shooting guards in the league. He’s also listed as a small forward, but I think he’s a pure shooting guard. If I had to play him somewhere else, it would be a point guard.
