Harold Miner was one of the best dunkers of his time. Most people knew Harold Miner as a dunker thanks to the numerous beautiful basketball cards that were printed of him doing big dunks in the NBA dunk contest and becoming the dunk champion of 1992-93. Miner had a four-year NBA career and played 200 games, mostly for the Miami Heat, the team that drafted him in 1992-93. It’s rare for a player to win an NBA slam dunk contest as a rookie. Miner did it again in 1995 when he defeated Isaiah Rider. 3/4/2025
Fun Facts
Harold Miner had one of the most original free-throw routines I’ve seen out of any basketball player. He looped the basketball around his body, then between his legs before shooting a free throw.
