Professional Career:
Elliott was selected by the San Antonio Spurs as the third overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft. He played a significant role in the Spurs’ offense, earning two All-Star selections during his tenure. After a brief period with the Detroit Pistons, Elliott returned to the Spurs, contributing to their 1999 NBA Championship victory. Over his career, he accumulated 10,544 points, 3,204 rebounds, and 1,897 assists.
Post-Retirement:
Following his retirement from professional basketball, Elliott transitioned into broadcasting. He served as a basketball analyst for The NBA on NBC and later for ABC Sports and ESPN during the 2003-2004 season.
