Nick Smith Jr. has one of the longest wingspans for a player 6 foot 2 or under that I have seen. I was also impressed when I watched him play against the Denver Nuggets today, even though he missed a game-winner. Nick Smith Jr. could be in for big minutes for the rest of the 2024-25 NBA season since Seth Curry and Cody Martin are his only competition at shooting guard. If he was a bit taller, I’d call him a sleeper to break out in a big way next season, but at 6 foot 2, he’s considerably undersized for a 2 guard. I’d like to see a team play him as a point guard instead and see how he goes. That won’t happen in Charlotte anytime soon because they have LaMelo Ball who they prefer as the floor general. 2/2/2025
