Stacey Augmon played a big role in helping the Atlanta Hawks seem like one of the coolest basketball teams of the 90s. Steve Smith was certainly a very good player, but he looked a little less agile than Augmon and I used to love an agile basketball player. No other team appreciated Stacey Augmon like the Hawks did. As soon as he left, he never played as many minutes again. I was surprised by this because never once did I feel he was undeserving of his minutes in Atlanta. At the very least, he’s capable of filling in the remaining minutes that need to be used by a reliable player. I always thought of Augmon as very reliable.
